Larwa Dam, called the lifeline of Kolebira, covers a large area and meets the drinking water needs of the region. Larwa is a small village in the Kolebira block of Simdega district. It is located about 30 kilometres from the district headquarters of Simdega. The dam is also called Raja Dam or Kolebira Dam. There are also the ruins of old fort like structures that are believed to have once been the residence of the king. Around the dam there are trees to sit on. A plan has been approved to restore the dam and develop the surrounding area. There is also a temple near the dam. A stay here can be a relaxing experience.
