Ram Rekha Dham
DirectionRam Rekha Dham is a sacred place associated with Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, located about 26 kilometres from the district capital Simdega. Archaeological structures like Agni Kund, Charan Paduka, Sita Chulha and Gupt Ganga associated with them are also located there. According to legend, Lord Ram, Goddess Sita and Lakshman came here and lived for a while during their 14-year exile from Ayodhya. At an archaeological site, some lines have been scratched on the roof, which are believed to have been drawn by Lord Ram himself. Hence, it is called Ram Rekha. People come here to offer prayers and visit the ancient structures, including the temples of Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, Lord Hanuman and Lord Shiva, which are located in a curved cave.
